The Reserve Bank of India will be coming up with new notes of Rs. 200.
You might have already heard from many sources about the new Rs 200 notes that were decided to be printed and circulated soon.
Hence now it has come to notice that notes of Rs 200 denomination are being printed in one of the government-owned facilities after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) placed an order a few weeks ago for the bills.
The decision to introduce Rs. 200 notes was taken by the RBI with the consultation of Finance Ministry in March.
Soon a notification may be issued by the Reserve Bank of India on the same.
This exercise of printing Rs 200 denomination notes is being undertaken to further improve the currency situation in the country.
After the announcement of demonetization in November last year, the RBI had introduced new notes of Rs. 500 and 2,000.
When post demonetization Government introduced Rs 500 and Rs 2000 notes, people faced problems in using the Rs. 2,000 note as sufficient quantum of smaller denomination notes of Rs. 100 and Rs. 500 were not available.
The government had brought in the Rs. 2,000 note immediately after November 8, 2016, demonetization to expedite remonetization.
It’s expected to hit markets in August 2017.
